Future BIM Implementation Qatar 2015

Future BIM Implementation Qatar 2015

Future BIM Implementation Qatar 2015
Future BIM Implementation Qatar is the essential platform in 2015 for all those involved in the architecture, design, construction, engineering, consulting, building and infrastructure industry in Qatar and the GCC to stay up-to-date on how this software and technology is facilitating future cities in the region. The conference was held in QNCC on the 6th and the 7th of May 2015.

In recent years, a series of high profile success stories in the Middle East has meant that BIM is now being viewed as a critical factor in the design, planning and construction stages of today’s complex and ambitious architecture projects.  It can also have a very positive effect on the whole lifecycle of a building. Building Information Modeling (BIM) was introduced nearly 10 years ago focusing on 3D modeling of architectural, structural, mechanical, and other key building systems instead of traditional 2D drawings.

From Doha’s Metro System to the numerous sporting stadiums, BIM will enable project teams of architects, engineers, building and infrastructure owners and construction firms to use 3D digital models to collaborate and support building projects throughout their lifecycle - from design and documentation to building and field support - ensuring that projects are delivered to the required specifications on schedule and within budget.

BIM-ME was participating in this conference and as a SILVER sponsor for the event, Mr. Charbel Moussallem, BIM-ME’S Director, has presented “Adding muscles to BIM: Next level of Smart Full-fledged Building Information Analysis. Through his presentation, Mr. Charbel has explained how to improve BIM models Data Extraction, manage the BIM Data, analyze the BIM Geometry, and how to link BIM models to an External Database.
