Back to 2007 Implementing BIM(Architecture, Structure, MEP)on the project with Dar Al handasah (Cairo & Beirut)
The BIM Implementation project for Abraj Al-Bait in Mekkah led by Dar Al-Handasah Shair & Partners aimed to revolutionize construction workflows by transitioning from traditional 2D designs to advanced 3D modeling using BIM. This initiative streamlined design, coordination, and construction processes across architecture, structure, and MEP disciplines. By developing integrated BIM models, potential conflicts were detected early, reducing rework during construction. Standardized protocols and workflows ensured consistency and reliability, delivering tangible benefits in cost savings, schedule optimization, and quality assurance. This project served as a milestone in advancing BIM adoption within the Saudi Arabian construction industry, showcasing the transformative potential of digital technologies.
